Weekend Recap

This weekend was amazing! It was so much fun!.

Saturday we woke up earlier than normal and went into the “city”, (San Francisco) via BART and played tourist for the day.

We started with an amazing breakfast at home then made our way to the train and it took us about 45 minutes to get into the city. We don’t live to0 far from SF. I love how close we live to such a beautiful multi-cultural city and area.

When we got to SF we then walked to the Museum of African Diaspora it was a quick walk and BARTable. About a 5 minute walk.  It is a small museum but it was very informative, had so much different types of art. It also had two special exhibits plus an exhibit hall with kid’s art. These kids are talented!! Holy Crap! So impress.  It is three levels but it is very quick to go through. It is a small museum but I recommend if you are in San Francisco or live around the bay area then go to it! It can be visited in about an hour.

After that we went to Fisherman’s Wharf and walked around. We went to this cool museum named Musee Mecanique which was free that has a personal collection of coin operated arcade machines. It is really cool! We spent about an hour there just playing all the different games.  This is definitely a must do if you are in the bay area on vacation or live in the area.

This was one of this stretchy mirrors at the Arcade Museum

After that we went to eat lunch at Boudin Bakery which is right across the road from the Musee Mecanique. I ate a Crab Sandwich which was very fresh and good. Ryan had a pulled pork sandwich.

After that we went to the Cable Car block where you can ride a traditional Cable Car. That was so fun! I had never been in the Iconic SF Cable Car.

After that we decided to come home and we took BART home. On the way home we decided that we were having to much fun so when we came home we went downtown. Our little town has a beautiful quaint downtown. Our downtown is walkable and it reminds me we live in such a beautiful part of the country. California is gorgeous, and I feel very fortnuate to live here but also be with my soulmate. Anyways I digress, we went to this food hall and got some Vietnamese dinner and then we got dessert.  In the summer on the weekends they have live music Friday and Saturday nights and we ate our dessert outside and listened to live music.  After awhile we decided it was time to end our night and come home to spend time with our Lucky boy!  We thought we would stay home on Sunday just relaxing but that did not happen.

On Sunday we slept in and at around 11:00 AM Ryan’s mom called us and invited us to a small festival in a nearby town. There is always something to do in the Bay Area.  This festival had live music, carnival food, and booths with all kinds of stuff. We bought two beach towels that were a very good price. One of Mario for Ryan and Lilo & Stich for me. I love Lilo & Stich and Ryan loves Mario. We stayed about two hours, it was a small festival. Ryan’s mom bought us Disney theme cups. We got Funnel Cakes, Lemonade and Ice cream for the end. It had been a long time since I have eaten Funnel Cakes. It was good, we also brought home some homemade cookies that Ryan’s mom bought us. Then after the festival we went to a nearby town to this really cool bar/restaurant  We ate burgers they were really good.

It was a good weekend.

THIS weekend we are going to the movies on Saturday!! We have tickets for Oppenheimer & Barbie. We are going to watch Oppenheimer first then watch Barbie 2nd. We can’t wait! We have been looking forward to these movie premiers all year!

I am trying to be better at managing my full-time job AND this!

Have a great weekend!
