Val’s Top 10 Attractions in San Francisco

Happy Friday! The weekend is finally here and it feels amazing!

Summer is right around the corner and kids are about to be out of school which is an exciting time for children and summer activities. If you are wondering what to do around the Bay Area namely San Francisco look no further. I will be talking about the Top 10 Attractions in San Francisco that I have experienced as a Texas transplant.

I feel like San Francisco is so unique and has so many cool gems to take your kids or have a date night in the city like Ryan and I have done many a times.

There is no other city like San Francisco.

The other cool thing about San Francisco is it is extremely BARTable meaning Public Transportation is very easy to use and to get to attractions.

Obviously if you live in a place where Public Transportation is not in use or available then that is understandable but if you have access to Public Transportation it is important we use it. Every time I go in to San Francisco I use BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), as it is very difficult to drive in SF as parking is expensive but also very hard to come by.

Here is my Top Ten  S.F Attractions

10. Golden Gate Bridge-

The Most Iconic Bridge in the world and  this is a SF must! I believe everyone at least one time should drive through and/or walk this beautiful stunning masterpiece. When I went through it the very first time I was in awe. That is how beautiful and iconic it is. I did not think that the Golden Gate Bridge was this beautiful in person but it is.

9.Asian Art MuseumA Couple of weeks ago we went to this amazing Museum.

Ryan grew up in the Bay Area so he had been to this museum several times. We couldn’t finish this museum in one day.

If you are in town several days I would recommend visiting for two days because there is just so many artifacts and beautiful items from different Asian countries. Right now they have a Bollywood exhibit which we went too. It is several floors and each floor has several Asian Countries and they are expanding it.

8. Pier 39

Last year Ryan brought me here for one of our dates. We saw the Sea Lions, we even took our doggo Lucky with us. They have restaurants and tons of fun stores plus it is part amusement park. It was really fun and it is a perfect place to take the kids for the afternoon.

7. The Exploratorium

This is such a fun Museum. The reason why is because it is very hands-on everything they have there you can touch and play with. It is so much fun! If you have ADHD like we do then this is heaven.

6. Chinatown

This is technically a neighborhood but the largest Chinatown in the United States and only the 2nd largest outside of Asia. So many restaurants and shops. We love going to dinner here. We love to eat dinner here and just stroll through the gorgeous neighborhood.

5. Oakland Zoo

Technically not in San Francisco but in nearby Oakland. It is an amazing zoo and the view! *heart eyes* This is a must if you come and visit the Bay Area.

4.Alcatraz

No explanation needed with so much history .

3.Legion of Honor Museum

This Museum is one of my favorites. So much art history here. Rodin is featured at this Art Museum.

2.City Lights Bookstore

One of the biggest Bookstore in the country with so many independent authors featured primarily here. So many choices if you are a reader this is a Must see in S.F.

1.Coit Tower

This is a very iconic Tower, beautiful and one of a kind. If you like Diego Rivera then this is a MUST SEE!!!
