October and Life lately

Fall weather is here in NorCal and it is the most perfect weather. It has consistently been in the 70’s and 80’s! I love fall season and October!

I already made Chili, Banana Bread, Banana Bread with chocolate chips muffins.  I am going to make Chili again but this time with cornbread. I will post some Fall recipes soon. I have been busy with work, was also hospitalized for a few days. I did not realize I have not posted here since August! So crazy!

Next month I have my 6 month evaluation with my boss, hoping I get a raise soon. I am slowly getting transitioned to being a paralegal from legal clerk. I have no patience though. I wish I would get a raise because I deserve it. I work really hard. We been having so much fun here now that the weather has been nice.

We went to a Zombie Beer Crawl on Saturday. That was so much fun! I sadly only have like one of the whole event. It was fun though!!  We had dinner downtown at one of our favorite Greek restaurant  I love that our little town and the surrounding areas have so many fun October Festivals. Sadly we couldn’t make it to Octoberfest this year but hopefully next year we can.

I also wanted to get costumes for us but we are re-wearing what we have because it is not in our budget because we are visiting Texas for a week in December! I am so excited. Southwest had a major airfare sale for both of our round-trip tickets we spent 423.00 from Oakland to Houston! I am so excited to eat some good food but also equally excited to show Ryan a bit of Texas. I get to visit my mom and take her flowers and “introduce Ryan to my mom”. Also going to visit my grandmother, my brother and my dad.  We are both so excited for this! We leave the 5th and don’t come back until the 12th.

On Sunday the Oakland Museum will be having there Dia De Los Muertos celebration a week early. They are having food trucks, all kinds of exhibits on the history of this Mexican Tradition. They will be having Mexican food, Mexican hot chocolate, Pan Dulce. They are having all kinds of fun activities plus the mariachi will be playing. I can’t wait!!!

I started typing this on the 18th of October and now it is November.

I loved October because we had so much fun and really enjoyed the month. Now we are going to be decorating for Christmas but still leave our Fall decorations up for a bit longer. Since we will be gone for a week in December then we need to decorate before we leave. I am now excited for Thanksgiving. I am hoping I can take some decent photos for our Christmas decorations. I have a whole theme in my head and hoping I can pull it off.

It is almost Mid-November and I am still typing this. I am hoping I can be consistent with blogging again.

In three weeks I will be in Texas and I can’t wait to go back home for a week. I have a list of all the restaurants I will be eating at. I am hoping to show Ryan my favorite places.

I hope you have a great week.
