Our Saturday; Two Movies in one day!

Happy Thursday!!

Sorry I been MIA lately but I am here now!

This last weekend I had so much fun!

We went to the theater on Saturday and we saw “Are you there God?, It’s Me Margaret” and “Evil Dead: Rise”

Both movies were amazing and totally worth watching in the theater.

I am going to do a quick movie(s) review.

Evil Dead: Rise was awesome not horror at all at least not for us. For me it is a one and done kind of movie but I enjoyed watching it in the theater. It is a little heavy because a lot of the characters are not given a chance before they die. It also has a lot of familial energy about it. If there was CGI in the shots, it was not obvious which goes towards how well the film works in a visual level. There were a lot of very inventive camera angles and the makeup was very convincing as well.

The only thing I wish was they brought Ash (character) from the original Evil Dead movies.  Without spoiling anything towards the end there was something memorable that happened that also is a point of how creative overall the film was.

We saw Evil Dead: Rise 2nd but if I was going to do it over again I would watch, “Are you there God?, It’s Me Margaret because that movie is very lighthearted coming of age movie. I also love that it is lighthearted and the ending was amazing.

We both felt the characters developed especially the character Margaret by the end she had really grown up and realized that some of her so called friends were a little mean to other girls and Margaret realized that was not the way to treat other kids. She was mature enough to realize that she should be nice to everyone and I felt that was a strong development for Margaret.   Ryan was not sure if he would enjoy this type of movie but he enjoyed it and he thought the acting especially the little girl (Margaret). She is an amazing actress.

After the movies we picked up Lucky and we went to Daiso to do a video for our new You tube channel. We did a video on eating Japanese snacks and drinks. I thought it was a cool thing to film.  Ryan needs to edit it then we will put it on our You tube Channel. We like doing videos together we have a lot on my Tik Tok of small Mukbangs.

Then after Daiso we went downtown to grab some dessert and walk Lucky around. After walking around downtown, we grabbed burgers from our favorite burger place and came home.(Martinez Downtown is so cute I need to take photos of it soon; and some walkable)

It was a great Saturday.

Me and Ryan are cooking brunch for Ryan’s mom for Mothers Day so I will do a post on that also. We have a menu picked and I made a menu on Canva and Ryan made a card for his mom on Canva. I will print them out and we also got her a gift too. I can’t wait!

I will see you all back here on Friday for Friday favorites.

I also have some more Plus-Size Summer Outfit suggestions posts that I need to put together. Doing the research part right now. I am hoping next week I will post those.
