Bay Area Craft Beer Festival

Introduction:

On Saturday Ryan, his mom and I went to Bay Area Craft Beer Festival .

Bay Area Craft Beer Festival is a festival  in our little community of Martinez, CA, that had different breweries and you can taste as many beers as you want. They also had Food Trucks and Live Music. I had so much fun!!  The festival had over 50 Breweries.

You pay a admission of 60.00 a person but with so many Breweries you definitely get your money’s worth. They had 12 food vendors those were not included in the ticket price. You paid separately for food. The admission included a small glass and lanyard that was supposed to hold the small glass but it did not. It was not a very lanyard though as our glass fell multiple times. Luckily the venue was outside but it was a grassy area.

Saturday Morning:

We woke up at 10:00 AM to get ready for the Festival, I was so nervous and very anxious so I couldn’t eat more than a Bananas, meanwhile Ryan was able to eat. We arrived about 30 minutes before so we just waited. Then finally they let us in and we got bracelets that lets everyone know that we are there for the festival. The festival is located in Downtown Marina park and it was a grassy area. As soon as we passed security and got our glass we started drinking at the different Breweries.

We went to about four of them then went to go get lunch at a food truck. Then we decided to get different foods from different food trucks throughout the festival.  All of us started with an order of Lumpia’s. It came with ten pieces and it was $10.00. They were very fresh so we ate those. Then we went to other Brewery stands to try more beer. There was one brewery where we could try a “flight of different type of beers”.  I did that and I tried like 6 different kinds. They all had some type of fruit in it. They were delicious. My boyfriend and his mom did not try the flight and then they regretted it.  HA!

After going through some Brewery stands and almost every stand had swag for us. One of the Brewery stands gave us bags. It was awesome!! We then had lunch and we got Barbecue sliders and another stand had dessert and so we got dessert there. I got Bananas Pudding and Ryan got a cookie (so boring!), and his mom got Peach Cobbler. They were so delicious. We had lunch and just had so much fun listening to the music.

Then,

we went to more Brewery stands by this point I am feeling like I would not be able to drive at this point. Luckily none of us brought vehicles here and we just used Uber there and back. We scoped out a Japanese Brewery stand and we got so excited and got in line for that one. I was impressed with everyone even though so many people were drunk. Everybody was so nice and nobody pushed or anything when we were in line. It was a very easygoing day.

Anyways, we then decided we ,(and when I say we ) I mean Ryan’s mom and I wanted to try the food truck that had a Lobster Roll and we got some fries that had barbeque on it that my boyfriend loved. I did not try those but I had most of the Lobster. It was okay a little expensive that particular food truck and the food was meh. All the other food trucks were very reasonably priced but not his one.

By that time it was around 4 pm and the festival ended. We then proceeded to walk to downtown and get ice cream but I was so thirsty by the time we got to downtown that I got a fruit tea. The walk downtown was so much fun because everyone absolutely everyone walked to downtown to continue drinking and/or eating. So many broke there glasses that came with the admission on the walk over.

After our ice cream stop me and Ryan got an Uber home and just lazed around the rest of the afternoon watching movies and taking naps. We sobered up though pretty quickly. We must have stopped at over 25 brewery stands. There were over 50 and we figured we would not be able to go to all 50. It is impossible in 4 hours to go to all the brewery stands. Even though we drank so much and ate so much food from different food trucks we had so much fun and for sure will go next year again. The weather was perfect also.

We got an Uber home which is honestly not that far but I am still not used to walking on hills. We live in the Bay Area where everything is hilly.

I definitely want to go again next year.

If you ever been to a Brewfest please comment your expeirence!
